This year Polish Canadians from age 18 and up, with the valid Polish Passport and after completing the registration by May 13th on the Polish Government Website, would be able to vote in the upcoming Presidential Election – scheduled as listed: first round – on May 17th, second round (if necessary) – on May 31st, 2025 – at Dom Polski in Windsor Ontario, 1275 Langlois Ave, ON N8X 4L6.
For completing the required registration process please go to the gov.pl/web/kanada. Links to the registration website e-Wybory as well as the complete alphabetical list of the Polish Electoral Districts abroad are already active. In the first step – press the blue button “Rozpocznij Rejestracje”. In the next step you will need to register with your designated Electoral District (Obwod Wyborczy) – in this case with No 161 – Windsor ON). Have your valid Polish Passport and PESEL number ready. The deadline for submitting the registration process is May 13.

We are very grateful for Sister’s presence here in Windsor during the last 60 years. Dear Sister, please accept our heartfelt thanks for all your help, wisdom and love shown to anyone who had an honor and pleasure to meet You. In 2025, we celebrate two remarkable Jubilees in our Church and our Community – the 100th anniversary of the Polish School at Holy Trinity Parish in Windsor as well as the 60th Anniversary of the presence of the Ursuline Sisters AJH here in Canada.
These celebrations are an opportunity for deep gratitude and reflection on the rich spiritual, educational and social heritage jointly built by the members of our local community, clergy, Ursuline Sisters, teachers, parents, students, alumni, benefactors, volunteers and Parishioners.
As we celebrate both Jubilees, we wish to express our appreciation to all those who contributed to the development of the Polish School and the parish community, as well as those who have supported and continue to support the Ursuline Sisters of the Agonizing Heart of Jesus with their kindness and prayers. May this be a time of joy and gratitude for all the blessings we have received over the years!
As part of celebrations, we plan to publish the book called “100th Anniversary of the Polish School” as well as Chronicle documenting the early years of the Ursuline Sisters AHJ here in Windsor. We warmly encourage everyone to contribute memories, acknowledgements and advertisements to enrich the “100th Anniversary of the Polish School”. Windsor’s Polish community celebrates declaration of May as national Polish Heritage Month.

On February 7, 2024, the Canadian Parliament approved Motion M-75, establishing May as Polish Heritage Month and May 3rd as Polish Constitution Day in Canada. YEAS 328, NAYS 0. A great success for our current and future generations.
On February 1, 2024, Private Members’ Business on Polish Heritage Month in Canada, Motion M-75, was debated by MPs in the House of Commons. It was a pleasure to hear some impressive opinions about the major contribution of Canadians of Polish heritage, who built a better Canada.
Since 1978 Polonia Centre (Windsor) Inc. has been committed to promoting Polish culture and traditions, supporting activities within Polonia and to help make it successful within our Canadian Society. With this year’s distribution, we have awarded over 1.6 million dollars in Donations, Sponsorships and Academic Awards. As a Non-Profit Charitable Corporation in the Province of Ontario, Polonia Centre (Windsor) Inc. supports Registered Charities. Assumption University is one of the Registered Charities that we’ve selected this year. A $20,000 donation will facilitate an annual “Polonia Centre Scholarship” to a successful candidate pursuing a course in “Inter-Faith Studies. The use of funds in charitable giving confirms our support of education and is in line with our annual Academic Awards, support of Polish School Windsor and local libraries.

80 years ago in Canada…
On October 1st, 2023 one of the oldest Polish-Canadian Organizations in our area – Polish Alliance of Canada – Branch 20th in Windsor celebrated its 80-th Anniversary.
Polonia of Windsor Essex would like to extend the best wishes on the occasion of this remarkable 80th Jubilee. We congratulate the Polish Alliance of Canada Branch 20 on all of your great accomplishments, generosity and countless contributions to the community. On Sunday, July 30th, 2023 Sister Paula Ryniec received the Golden Cross of Merit – awarded by the President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda. This award was presented by Consul Magdalena Pszczolkowska in recognition of the Ursuline Sisters’ 58-year long contributions to the Polish Community in Canada. The celebration took place on Sunday, after the 12:30 Holy Mass at the Holy Trinity R.C. Church in Windsor Ontario
