In December 1981, the Board of Directors established an Academic Awards program to support students of our Polish Community in their pursuit of higher education. It was determined that we will support students who demonstrate a competent level of academic achievement, engaged in extra-curricular activities in their school and/or Windsor community, and most importantly, were actively involved in the cultural and social activities of our Polish Community.

This year the Scholarship Committee reviewed and granted awards to four Undergraduate students and three Graduate Students who shared in a total of $19,000. The Board of Directors of Polonia Centre (Windsor) Inc. believe that this program is an investment, and we are hopeful the recipients will become successful adults who will reinvest their skills and talents in our Polish and Windsor Community.
Since the inception of our Academic Award program, Polonia Centre (Windsor) Inc. has awarded a total of $507,300 to students of Polish descent in our community. Following is a list of this year’s recipients.
