Participants of the former Candle Lighting event will meet at Dom Polski Hall at 6pm for this gathering, that will include:
Screening of the documentary features “Polish Heritage Month, Windsor 2022” and “Copernicus(550) Jubilee”
Announcing the final results of the contest “Mikolaj Kopernik – Polska Duma” – organized and sponsored by Polish Canadian Women’s Federation (Branch 20) and Polish Army Veterans Association (Post 126).
Exhibition of “Monte Cassino”.

Holy Mass on 480-th Anniversary of Copernicus death

Holy Mass on Saturday, May 20-th at 8:00 am to commemorate  the 480-th  anniversary of the death of Nicolaus Copernicus

 

Memorial Thanksgiving Mass

Thanksgiving Holy Mass celebrating the 103-rd Birthday of the St. John Paul II on Thursday, May 18th at 7:00 pm.
Holy Mass for  the Polish  Armed Forces fighting on all fronts of World War II to honor the anniversary of the Battle of Monte Cassino.

Starting  Tuesday May 9th – during  the Novenna to Saint John Paul II,  His Relics  will be on the display at the Main Altar at the Holy Trinity R.C. Church.

After Thanksgiving Mass on May 18th, there will be the Evening Gathering dedicated to the memory of St. John Paul II and the Jasna Gora Appeal.

 

 

Polish Flag Colors Illumination – until Friday, May 19th

Polonia Centre Logo 90 x 90Please join us after dusk (starting Monday – approx. 8:30 pm until Friday, May 19th) for the Illumination of the colors of the Polish Flag at the Windsor City Hall, 350 City Hall Square.

Copernicus (550) Jubilee Exhibition will be on display at City Hall from Friday May 12th 8:30 AM until  closing on Tuesday May 16th 4:30 PM. Official Opening  of the Exhibition at City Hall  – Friday, May 12-th  – 1.00 PM. Everyone is welcome to attend.

OF POLAND, GENERAL WLADYSLAW SIKORSKI, AND THE

PRIME MINISTER OF CANADA, MACKENZIE KING, SIGNED AN

AGREEMENT, ESTABLISHING THE POLISH MILITARY MISSION IN

CANADA TO RECRUIT POLISH SOLDIERS. FROM JULY 1941

TO  MAY 1942, GENERAL BRONISLAW DUCH WAS THE

COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF OF THE POLISH ARMED FORCES, WITH

HEADQUARTERS IN WINDSOR, ONTARIO. DOM POLSKI

WAS THE RECRUITMENT CENTRE FOR VOLUNTEERS INTO THE

POLISH ARMY.
