150-th Anniversary of the Dominion of Canada

Fathers of Confederation at 1864 Charlottetown Conference – painting by Robert Harris, 1884

HAPPY  BIRTHDAY CANADA!
It all started there – the 1864 Quebec Conference and Charlottetown Conferenced laid out the framework for uniting British colonies in North America into a federation. They had been adopted by the majority of the provinces of Canada and became the basis of the London Conference in 1864 which led to the formation of the Dominion of Canada on July 1, 1867, which became an official birthday of Canada as we all know.
