The Organization promotes cultural, educational, charitable and sporting events by organizing these events or by providing financial contributions within the Polish community in support of events. In 2016, our donations totaled $30,650 and $26,000 in scholarships was awarded to students in our Polish community. The Cultural Committee of Polonia Centre (Windsor) Inc oversees the Tatry Song & Dance Ensemble, organizes the Annual Dozynki and Evening of Excellence and participates in Carousel of the Nations. Polonia Centre (Windsor) sponsors a website for and about Polonia at www.poloniawindsor.ca.

The 2016 Polonia Centre Gala of Excellence was held on October 15th at Dom Polski Hall, which was beautifully decorated in the Harvest Theme by Ms. Renata Mroz and the members of the Polonia Centre Cultural Committee.   Master of Ceremonies Halina Roznawski, Vice President of Polonia Centre (Windsor) Inc., welcomed the distinguished guests, representatives of all Polish Organizations in Windsor, members of our Polish Community as well as the 2016 Academic Award and Donation Recipients.  Song and Dance Ensemble Tatry opened the festivities with an artistic “Dozynki” performance featuring song, dance, poetry and the official presentation of the Harvest Wreath and Bread to this year’s “Host and Hostess” – Mr. Fred Pernal and Mrs. Maria Kulesza.  Following a delicious dinner, we proceeded with the distribution of awards and donations.  $26,000 in scholarships was awarded to six Undergraduate students and six Graduate students of our Polish Community.   A further $30,650 in donations was presented to 11 groups and/or organizations of our Polish and Windsor Community.  The evening concluded with dancing to the music of  DJ Steven.

As we enter our 38th year, we hope to increase our membership. Annual dues are $20 and applications are available at the Polonia Park office at 5085 South National Street.
